A new start, deciding which courses to enrol on based on how much time you can devote to them, sorting out paperwork, finding your way around the Campus... It can all get a bit much from time to time. That's why our helpful staff are on hand to guide and support you throughout your time with us, ready to answer all your questions so you can focus on learning.
To help you adapt to life at the UOC and ensure you have personalized guidance from your faculty, you'll have a tutor who will support and assist you throughout your time at the UOC.
They will welcome you when you first join us, help you adapt and teach you how to effectively find your way around the Virtual Campus. They will help and support you so you can plan your studies and set a realistic pace of work throughout your academic journey. Towards the end of your programme, they will give you career and lifelong learning guidance.
For students on bachelor's degree programmes, tutoring duties are shared between two people: first-year tutors, who support you at the induction stage and throughout the first two semesters, and follow-on tutors, who will help you from the third semester onwards to plan and achieve your chosen curricular pathway in the final stretch of your studies, and provide guidance on your career and future training.
In addition to the academic tutor, students doing vocational training courses will also have a workplace training tutor, who will act as a mentor during internships at companies or institutions.
Doubts, technical issues and other matters sometimes arise as part of life at the UOC. When this happens, the Help Service is there to answer each and every member of the community's questions and enquiries.
The Help Service is a team of people who are there to help. They're available seven days a week and are committed to responding to your enquiries quickly and efficiently.
You can find us on the Help Service section on Campus, in the top menu bar next to your user profile. From there, you can search through the most frequently asked questions and send us your enquiry if you still can't find the answer you need.
Alternatively, you can contact us at @UOCrespon on X (formerly Twitter).
The Help Service will quickly get back to you with an answer using the most appropriate channel in each case.
