The building, located in district 22@Barcelona, between the streets Roc Boronat and Sancho d’Àvila, is the new workplace of the UOC's Research and Transfer Support Office.
Since last September, the Media-TIC building, conceived as the centre of the ICT activities of the district 22@Barcelona, has housed the offices of the OSRT, as well as the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3) and the Research Resource Centre with its Castells Collection. The eLearn Center (eLC), part of the International Graduate Institute and the Open Office of Innovation have also moved there. In total, the UOC occupies the top three stories, with a surface area totalling 5.000 m2.
The Media-TIC building, designed according to a sustainable model of architecture, is the nucleus of a union between the area of the Media and ICT clusters of the district 22@Barcelona, a meeting point for companies, institutions and professionals in the digital world and new technologies.
