Welcome to the 3rd SpinUOC, the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC)’s annual event on research and innovation transfer, which took place on 18 June at 7 pm at the Antiga Fàbrica d’Estrella Damm.

In a year in which the UOC is celebrating its 20th anniversary, this was a special event thanks to the inclusion of new ingredients in a formula that has already yielded good results to strengthen the link between the university, the business world and society.

One of this year's innovations was that the eight projects "Made in UOC" - which were presented in a dynamic and flexible presentation format - were selected by a panel of experts from both inside and outside the University.

Another of the changes was the presentation of awards for the best projects. In this respect, the audience played a key role, given that they had to choose the winner of the Audience Award #SpinUOC 2015. A Jury Award and the UOC 20 Years Award were also given to the most influential UOC project presented in the three editions of the event.

The #SpinUOC formula also included the chance to network with the speakers through the #SpinMeetings: short meetings with the project managers to get all the details. The event was hosted by the journalist and scriptwriter Òscar Dalmau with live music from The Nameless.
