When can I apply for admission?
The period for applying for admission on the UOC PhD Programme is:
- Up to 24 September, applications received
- As of 16 October, communication and incorporation into the PhD programme
What documentation do I need to apply for admission?
The formal application for one of the PhD places for the 2006-2007 academic year will be considered complete when the access application form has been filled in and sent and the following documentation has been supplied by the candidates :
- Letter of presentation in English specifying the reasons for presenting yourself as a candidate and with a description of the research interests (no longer than 1,000 words).
- CV (with complete postal address, contact telephone and e-mail address), specifying the postgraduate or Masters courses studied linked to the research interests expressed in the letter of presentation (be it from the methodological or substantive point of view). The documents accrediting the conditions expressed in the CV will be provided later.
- Name, institutional affiliation, address and e-mail address of 3 referees.
- Sample of recent academic work.

What are the fees and rates?
The decree that will govern the fees and rates for the 2006-2007 academic year have still not been published. You will find information about the 2005-2006 course below.
In accordance with Decree 151/2005, of 12 July 2005, by means of which prices are established for the provision of academic services at public universities for the 2005-2006 academic year, the UOC must apply the prices set by the government.
Among other duties, the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya sets the fee for connecting to the Virtual Campus and the services with which the UOC provides students.
