We invite contributions in the form of individual papers, panels or colloquia. These may consist of research reports or data analyses, as well as language policy descriptions or evaluations. Presentations should follow the usual 20-minute per paper format, although alternative formats may be suggested in the case of round table discussions or panels. Ordinary presentations can be presented following the procedure detailed in the Abstract submission form. To propose panels or special sessions, please contact the organizers at newspeakers2014@uoc.edu.
The Organizing Committee will inform authors of the acceptance of abstracts by 15 July. Some presenters may be invited to participate in panels organized by the workgroups.
Although English will be the predominant language of the symposium, some events may be in Catalan, in which case interpretation will be provided. Conventional papers may also be presented in languages other than English, but no interpretation can be provided in these cases. It may be possible to accommodate presentations in sign languages (please contact the organizers first).
