Abstract format

Abstracts may be written in Catalan, Spanish or English.

To submit them, please use the form available to download here.

Your abstract must include each author's name and institution, a postal and an email address for correspondence, and a maximum of 5 keywords.

Your abstract should be at least 500 and no more than 800 words long, excluding references.

Abstracts must be organized into the sections listed below, four of which (Purpose; Design/methodology/approach; Results; and Originality/value) are compulsory. You may omit the other three (Research implications/limitations; Practical and/or social implications; and References) if they are not applicable to your paper.


  • Purpose (compulsory)
    Why have you written your paper, or what are the objectives of your research?

  • Design/methodology/approach (compulsory)
    How have you fulfilled your objectives? Include your research method(s). How have you approached the subject matter, and what is your paper's theoretical or thematic scope?

  • Results (compulsory)
    What are the findings of your research? Refer to your analysis, discussion or results.

  • Research implications/limitations (if applicable)
    You must complete this section if your paper deals with a research activity. Include suggestions for future research and details of any limitations identified during the research process.

  • Practical and/or social implications (if applicable)
    What results, practical implications, applications and consequences have you identified? Is any kind of educational, business or economic impact involved?
    What impact will your research have on society? How will it influence public attitudes? What bearing will it have on environmental or social responsibility issues? Does it raise ideas for education policies? How might it affect quality of life?
    This section will not be applicable to all papers.

  • Originality/value (compulsory)
    What are your paper's original aspects? Identify its value and those to whom it may be of interest.

  • References (if applicable)
    Citations and bibliographical references must be set out using the APA (American Psychological Association) system.
