Program

Summary

Australia has a long and distinctive history of adapting and responding to fire, both ecologically and socially. In particular, Australia has a history of addressing fire through community-led projects, including volunteer firefighting and household defence and preparation. With increasing risks of fire through climate change, many climatically similar areas of the world need to build greater individual and community resilience.
