The book, recently published by Francesca Belotti in the Routledge book series Media and Communication Activism. The Empowerment Practices of Social Movements, analyses the Indigenous media that has emerged in Argentina since the introduction of legislation in 2009 intended to promote diversity and access in radio and television media production. Belotti delves into how media practices can help support and sustain Indigenous political and cultural activism and the process of identity self-ascription.

Claudia Magallanes-Blanco (Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla), Salvatore Scifo (Bournemouth University) and Amalia Córdova (Smithsonian Institution) will comment on the book with the author, Francesca Belotti (Sapienza University of Rome). Mireia Fernández-Ardèvol will moderate the seminar. An open discussion with the audience will follow.
