Webinar: "Universities and democracy: how to strengthen a crucial relationship?"

The EUA is going to host the webinar “Universities and democracy: how to strengthen a crucial relationship?” where the vice-rector of globalisation and cooperation, Pastora Martínez, will participate as a speaker on Thursday 5th at 14 h.

This webinar is the first in a series called “Universities and civic engagement: new ways and formats”. It aims to explore relationships between universities and democracy within three themes: civic engagement; scientific literacy and the future of scientific communication; and the formulation of policies based on evidence and scientific advice after the pandemic.

Thanks to the experience of UOC, the vice-rector will speak about the role of universities in fostering students, as well as, the experience of UOC in this subject. In addition, new ways will be discussed so that universities can become involved in society.

The purpose of the webinar is: to share new perspectives, concepts and experiences; to raise awareness among members; and to bring civic engagement to the table.
