Aina Vidal-Pérez to take part in Detecting Europe in Contemporary Crime Narratives

Aina Vidal-Pérez, predoctoral researcher at the IN3's Global Literary Studies Research Lab (GlobaLS), will be taking part in the international conference Detecting Europe in Contemporary Crime Narratives: Print Fiction, Film, and Television, which is scheduled to take place from 21 to 23 June. The conference is organized by the European research project "Detecting Transcultural Identity in European Popular Crime Narratives", which in turn is coordinated by the University of Bologna.

Vidal will give her talk, entitled "Endangered Waters: Between Local Exoticism and Global Environmental Concerns in Donna Leon’s Eco-Crime Fiction" during the Crime Narratives and Ecocriticism panel on Tuesday 22 June from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. (CEST). Drawing on the novels of Donna Leon, Vidal will discuss the need to study environmentally concerned crime fiction from a global perspective.
