Organized by
Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, IN3's Internet Computing & Systems Optimization (ICSO) research group
Program
The 2021 SI-Trans Workshop for Young Researchers is the meeting point of the Spanish R&D Network in Sustainable and Intelligent Transport, supported by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities (RED2018-102642-T, PID2019-111100RB-C21/AEI/ 10.13039/501100011033), and the Erasmus+ SEPIE (project: 2019-I-ES01-KA103-062602, Erasmus code: 2016-1-ES01-KA108-023465). This workshop has among its goals the exchange of knowledge among the network groups, the training of young researchers in this area, the transfer of knowledge between the research groups and our industrial partners, and the cooperation with similar national and international groups.
Currently, the Spanish academic partners of the network are the following ones: University of Burgos, Technical University of Valencia, Technical University of Catalonia, University of La Laguna, Public University of Navarra, Pompeu Fabra University, Rey Juan Carlos University, Technical University of Madrid, University Pablo de Olavides, Autonomous University of Barcelona, University of A Coruña, and Open University of Catalonia.
The workshop will include different academic and industrial presentations related to the field of sustainable and intelligent transport, and will represent an excellent opportunity to meet some young researchers and practitioners in the areas of sustainable transportation and smart logistics, both from Spain and from other countries. Applications of intelligent algorithms (e.g., metaheuristics), simulation-optimization, and machine learning methods to SI-Trans will represent a fundamental part of the workshop.
