5th Workshop on Politic Behaviour and Public Opinion

The aim of the Jornada de Comportament Polític i Opinió Pública (Workshop on Politic Behaviour and Public Opinion) is to encourage interaction and collaboration between researchers in Catalonia. The workshop is run by a committee representing various Catalan universities and official public opinion polling institutions. Feedback from past years has been extremely positive, and the event is now entering its fifth year.

This time it will be held on 22 March at the IN3, with cooperation and support provided by the UOC’s Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3), its TURBA Lab research group and its Faculty of Law and Political Science.

Talks are to address areas such as electoral behaviour, the electoral system, political attitudes, political participation, public opinion or any other matter relating to political behaviour. There is scope for quantitative or qualitative analyses, comparisons of approaches, cross-disciplinary studies or case studies. At midday there will be a round table to discuss interdisciplinarity in political science, new technologies, and the intensive use of data in political research – all of which is open to the public.
