UOC newsletters


The Fundació per a la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), with tax ID no. G60667813 and registered address at Rambla del Poblenou, 154-156, Barcelona, Spain, will be responsible for processing the personal data obtained through this form.

We collect your data to manage the sending of the newsletters that you have freely, expressly and voluntarily subscribed to, thus giving us your consent.

Your personal data will be retained for the duration of your subscription. After this time, the UOC will keep the personal data blocked during such time as may be necessary to comply with any legal obligations that may arise from legal liabilities related to these purposes. When these liabilities expire, your personal data will be deleted permanently.


The legal basis for processing your personal data is your consent.

In any case, you may withdraw the consent that you have provided using the means indicated in the section "What are your rights?" of this document.


The UOC processes personal data with absolute confidentiality. Furthermore, it has implemented adequate technical and organizational measures to guarantee their security and prevent their destruction, loss or unlawful access or tampering. In deciding these measures, criteria such as the scope, context and purpose of the processing, the current state of the art and the existing risks have been taken into account.


The UOC may disclose your personal data to third parties if necessary in order to comply with its legal obligations.


The UOC works with a number of service providers that assist it in performing different tasks related to the processing of personal data.

For the monthly newsletters, the UOC provides this service through MailChimp, which belongs to The Rocket Science Group, LLC. International transfers are covered by the guarantees envisaged by law. You can consult MailChimp's personal data processing policy.

To exercise these rights, simply write to us at Fundació per a la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, either by sending an email to fuoc_pd@uoc.edu or by post to Rambla del Poblenou, 154-156, Barcelona, with "Data protection" as the subject, attaching, if applicable, a copy of your ID card (DNI) or equivalent identity document and the minimum content set forth in the applicable legislation. If your request does not meet the specified requirements, you may be asked to amend it. There is no charge for exercising these rights, although a fee may be charged for requests that are unfounded, excessive or repetitive.
