Who is the personal data controller?
Processing the personal data obtained from this form will be the responsibility of the Fundació per a la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (FUOC), with Tax Identification Number G60667813 and registered address at Rambla del Poblenou, 154-156, Barcelona, Spain. If you have any questions about the processing of your personal data, you can contact the Data Protection Officer by email at the following address: dpd@uoc.edu.
For what purpose do we process personal data? For how long?
The personal data collected through this form will be processed for the purpose of managing your subscription to the UOC's blogs newsletters.
Additionally, we will monitor and assess the newsletter through the use of statistics, which may involve asking you for your opinion through satisfaction surveys, or evaluating comments, recommendations or complaints that you voluntarily send us, with the aim in all cases of improving our newsletter.
Personal data will be processed by the FUOC for the stated purposes until such time as you instruct us to stop doing so.
At the end of the indicated period, the FUOC will store the personal data for the period of time in which legal liabilities may derive from them. When these liabilities no longer apply, the personal data will be deleted permanently.
What is the legal basis for processing the data?
The legal basis for the processing of personal data is the consent to subscribe to the newsletter and the legitimate interest in monitoring the newsletter through satisfaction surveys.
Consent may be withdrawn at any time through the means stipulated in the "What are my rights?" section of this document.
What security measures have been implemented to protect personal data?
The UOC shall process personal data with the utmost confidentiality. Furthermore, it has implemented adequate technical and organizational measures to guarantee their security and prevent their destruction, loss or unlawful access or tampering. In deciding these measures, criteria such as the scope, context and purpose of the processing, the current state of the art and the existing risks have been taken into account.
Does the UOC disclose your personal data to third parties?
The FUOC will disclose personal data to third parties if it is necessary to comply with the legal obligations that may be applicable in each case.
Are there other organizations that may have access to your personal data in order to assist the UOC in tasks related with the purposes of the processing?
The UOC works with a number of service providers that assist it in performing different tasks related to the processing of your personal data.

In order to exercise these rights, simply send a message to the Fundació per a la Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, either by email to fuoc_pd@uoc.edu or by post to Rambla del Poblenou, 154-156, Barcelona, stating as reference "Data protection". The request must include a copy of your National ID card or another equivalent identification document and the minimum content set forth in the applicable legislation. If your request does not meet the specified requirements, you may be asked to amend it. There is no charge for exercising these rights, although a fee may be charged when the requests are unfounded, excessive or repetitive.
