The Library
The Virtual Library is a key service for your learning process. It offers you all the materials and services you need to pass the continuous assessment, the final tests and the final course project.
How can I access the Library?
- In the Virtual Campus, click on the Library icon.
- When you are in a classroom, you can find the Library resources for your course by clicking on Materials.
- You can find the latest digital version of your materials in Secretary's Office / My materials.
- From the About the UOC section at www.uoc.edu. Or directly via http://biblioteca.uoc.edu/en.
What will I find at the Library?
The Library offers an extensive range of learning resources for following the courses freely broadening your knowledge and helping improve your marks in the continuous assessment tests cumulative and final exams.
You can access the specialized resources for your field of study from the Library website's top menu, browsing by subject or type of resources. There, you will be able to find the following:
- Legislation and case law
- Regulation and standards
- Press and current affairs
- Databases for academic and professional use
- Articles and specialized online journals
- Reference books/manuals and audiovisual materials of the recommended reading for the courses.
- Teaching modules
- Dossiers on specific subjects
You also have a search facility that enables you to quickly find and consult the resources you might need.
The Library also offers on loan electronic reading devices (e-readers), Arduino boards, routers, switches, etc.
Remember that to benefit from the full range of services you must log in as a UOC student. Check out the services and resources available to you.
Is all the content digital?
The Library was "born digital". Consequently, in line with the UOC's educational model and with the goal of guaranteeing universal access to all contents, we offer you the resources mostly in digital format, provided that the publishing market allows this.
