During the seminar, Peter Baptist, from the University of Bayreuth, Germany, showed how mathematics teaching can be made attractive by introducing a multidisciplinary focus that includes rich visualisations created by artist Eugen Jost. "The teacher doesn't have to be an entertainer, just as the student is not just a client," said Baptist.
