Pastora Martínez Samper, Vice President for Globalization and Cooperation at the UOC, will participate in the Expert Group on Science 2.0/Open Science of the European University Association (EUA) on behalf of the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE). The meeting will take place on March 22 at EUA offices, in Brussels.
The group of experts is responsible for proposing recommendations, drafting documents and interacting with a wide range of interest groups. Priority areas defining the group's work include open access to research publications and data; data mining; data protection regulations; skills and human resources; citizen science, among others.
The Expert Group on Science 2.0 / Open Science was created by decision of the EUA Council in January 2015, with the aim of providing a forum for debate in the area of open science and science 2.0. Currently, it is made up of nineteen experts appointed by the national rectors' conferences and two special advisers.
