The UOC and PIMEC, Petita i Mitjana Empresa de Catalunya, sign a collaboration agreement for the creation of “Occupations and Professional Competencies Observatory”.
The objective of the Observatory is to be a space of collaboration and joint cooperation in the provision of data, resources, tools and knowledge, to identify and monitor the evolution of the competencies and occupations of the labor market, to analyze the evolution of the occupations and competencies required by the Catalan labor market.
This agreement is framed in the Law of Science, Technology and Innovation, to promote the collaboration of universities and companies, with the aim of effectively responding to the demands of technological change.
The agreement is signed by the UOC President, Josep A. Planell, and PIMEC President, Antoni Cañete. The firm will also be attended by the Vice President of Competitiveness and Employment, Àngels Fitó; the manager, Antoni Cahner, and the professor of Economic and Business Studies and responsible for Analysis and Prospecting of the Labor Market, Carme Pagès.
On the behalf of PIMEC, there will be also present Secretary-General, Josep Ginesta; PIMEC Digitization and Innovation Commission Chair and Executive Committee member of the entity, Joan Josep Berbel; Work Area Director, Silvia Miró; and Training and Occupation Services Director, Hèctor Perez.
